USSF SELECTS VYSA AND THE VIRGINIA SOCCER TRAINING CENTER AS US SOCCER PERFORMANCE CENTER HOST

Spotsylvania County, Virginia. April 23, 2015

The Virginia Youth Soccer Association and the Virginia Soccer Training Center is one of seven organizations nationally selected to host a US Soccer Performance Center. This fall, VYSA will host a USSF Performance Center for US Soccer B and C candidates, September 11-13, 2015.

In January 2015, US Soccer instituted a new grading format for National Courses and USSF Performance Centers will be an integral part of the new format’s success.

VYSA’s Technical Director Gordon Miller commented saying “We are excited to have been chosen as one of USSF’s Performance Center hosts as the Federation continues to build the pre-eminent FIFA recognized coaching education pathway in the United States. The Virginia Soccer Training Center will allow National License candidates from Virginia and all of the Mid-Atlantic States a convenient first class facility to test. This will be the first of several collaborative programs with USSF at the Virginia Soccer Training Center”.
